Funding resistance
is caring for the future

Your contribution strengthens those who care, struggle and regenerate.

Contribute to the rural resistance fund and directly finance those who fight for living, just territories.

BRAVA exists to connect those who resist extractivism to a network of solidarity and resources. With your support, we can provide legal tools, technical training, financial support, visibility, and coordination between local projects. Every contribution helps turn resistance into concrete projects for those acting right now in their territories.

RURAL RESISTANCE FUND

Transparent. Self-managed. In solidarity.

All donations go into a common account.
When we reach €3,000, we draw a jury by lot from among everyone who contributed — regardless of the amount they gave. That jury meets just once to decide how to share the funds among the requests received. Then it dissolves. The money goes straight to those who resist, with no red tape

How does the rural resistance fund work?

BRAVA is funded mainly by donations from those who are part of the network. All financial movements will be published, auditable and aligned with our political and territorial commitment. We use a community mechanism for redistributing resources and power. All donations are gathered into a common account and, as soon as they reach three thousand euros, the fund is activated and a jury is drawn by lot from among the people who contributed, regardless of the amount donated.

This jury meets just once to assess the support requests received and decide, transparently and in solidarity, how to distribute the available funds. Then the money is sent directly to the chosen projects, with no bureaucracy or intermediaries. The jury dissolves, the account returns to zero, and the cycle begins again.

A simple, fair fund rooted in the principles of self-management, to strengthen those who resist and share what is common.

Criteria for awarding support

Strengthen the network

BRAVA’s goal is clear: to halt the advance of extractivism, support those on the front line, and challenge the logics that impose destructive projects without consultation or consent.

Change course

We support actions with transformative potential — that challenge the system, expose the roots of problems, and open new paths.

Dare to resist

We value boldness. Small, recent or inconvenient projects, which would struggle to find support elsewhere, are welcome here.

Diversity of fronts

We want to cover different kinds of struggle, especially those that remain invisible or underfunded.

Self-organisation and emancipation

We favour collective, horizontal and self-managed processes — that experiment with ways of acting outside the dominant logic.

Ripple effect

We give preference to projects that inspire others, create tools useful to more people, or activate new forms of resistance.

Not eligible:

• Projects focused exclusively on humanitarian, academic or artistic aims.
• Initiatives that can easily be funded by other means or institutions.

Frequently asked questions

1. How can I support BRAVA?

You can support BRAVA through a one-off donation or a regular contribution. All donations feed the rural resistance fund and go directly to supporting communities fighting against extractivism.

2. How does the monthly contribution work?

The monthly contribution lets you support BRAVA on an ongoing basis, helping to give the fund stability and the struggles it supports predictability. Payment is made through the Stripe platform, where you can choose the amount and payment method most convenient for you, and cancel whenever you wish.

3. How do I know my donation is being used well?

The funds are allocated by a jury randomly selected from among everyone who made donations, regardless of the amount. We also publish regular updates on how the funds are used and the impact they generate, ensuring full transparency about how your contribution strengthens communities in rural resistance.

4. Can I contribute to BRAVA in other ways?

Of course! You can offer your skills — legal, communications, organisational and others — and contacts to the other members of the network, and support us by sharing our content, recommending us to friends, and engaging on our platforms.

5. Is it safe to make a donation?

Yes! Stripe encrypts all financial information, stores the decryption details separately, and requires all online transactions to take place over the more secure HTTPS network. BRAVA does not store financial information and complies with all the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6. Can I cancel my subscription?

Of course, you can cancel at any time. To do so, just log in to your online banking or contact the bank that authorised the subscription/payment. If you need help, email us at brava@rederesistenciarural.org.
